Estee Lauder Event + Celebrity Night

Saturday was a loooongg day! I had work since my artists had things to finish for my accounts, I attended an Estee Lauder Event and in the evening was my best friend Ivan's 24th birthday.

The Estee Lauder event was held at the cosmetics floor in Rustans Makati. Thanks to Diane who referred me to Pepper (he handles events for Estee Lauder) for allowing me to attend the event. It was a very intimate event which ran from 2pm-4pm. The people from Estee Lauder talked about the importance of skin care, its effects and its long term benefits. They also showed us demo videos on easy steps in applying make up, tricks and shortcuts. I had a wonderful time watching these videos. Amanda was the make up artist, she had worked with Estee Lauder for 2 years in the US and now she does free lance for Estee Lauder whenever they have events. She showed us how to put on foundation and set with powder, eyeliner, pouty lips and also how to achieve the smokey eye look with very easy steps! I sure was amazed!

The SA also tried this Gel Foundation on my face plus the Estee Lauder Signature blush in Plum Nuance on me and I swear It was flawless! I want to get the products badly! I reallyy had a good time, so for all Manila residents let me know if you want to attend this event too, I know they have one on September 26, 2009 in Rustans Shangri-La Mall! Let me know so I can give your names to Pepper :)

Ivan's celebrity 24th Birthday Celebration

Me and my friends are really loud and crazy. As communication arts graduates we have a deep connection with Movies, Television, Celebrities and Show Business. So for Ivan's 24th birthday party, he decided to come up with a theme. His theme was "Celebrity" .

You basically just had to come as a celebrity or as a character in a movie may it be hollywood or not. It was so fun, as usual me and my friends get crazy with each others company!

New Falsies + FOTD

After work today, I decided to go around the mall and just look around. But of course, knowing me, you can never just "look around" lol . So as usual I found myself oggling over beauty products, make up and everything that has to do with make up. So I ended up buying new brushes, some empty containers, spatulas and oh my god some really great falsies!!! It was amazing, when i turned to the next aisle it was like i won a million bucks! There it was a gazillion falsies. I'm not even exaggerating there were tons! I wanted them all! So many colors and so many styles! I spent about 30 minutes choosing which to get. I didn't want to haul since I've never tried the brand before, so i chose only 4. It took me forever to choose! I really wanted them all! haha Check out the ones I got.

Aren't they just pretty? I'm in love! The ones on the top are the more natural ones and the ones you can use on an everyday basis, while the ones on the bottom are for special occasions or fancy make-up looks. I was super curious about trying fancy falsies like the one with studs or ones in different colors so I decided to get the ones at the bottom. The only thing though, these come without glue so you'll have to purchase the glue separately.

Can you see how long the lashes are? Amazing! So overall I am happy with the result of how the falsies look! They aren't very hard to apply, and the quality isn't tacky or cheap so these will probably last 3 uses. That deserves 2 thumbs up and a big big smile!! :)

I can now go back and start HAULING!! oh I am so excited!!! :) I have to start Hauling before my make-up classes start! Weeehh! I'm even more excited!! :)

New Falsies

Today was a long day at work, so much needs to be done and just thinking about it I can see how next week will be for me (over time galore!!). And oh did i mention that i have to work this weekend too? Blahhhhhhhh
So, before going home to make myself relax and feel better, I went around the mall and had a lot of "should I buy this?" moments. I was choosing over:

1. A Dress
2. A Skirt
3. Shoes
4. Falsies

And the Falsies won. So before dinner, I purchased 2 falsies at The Face Shop. I wanted to get all kinds, probably 5 of them, but I had to limit myself (bills time of the month). :( These lashes are very affordable though! They only run for PHP115!!!



So i was sooo excited to go home and try them. I decided to do a blue and brown shadow with the XL The Face Shop False lashes. I used:

Urban Decay Primer on my lids
Aqua Blue E/S from coastal scents 78 palette
Indigo Blue E/S from coastal scents 78 palette
Dark Plum E/S from coastal scents 28 neutral palette
MAC liquid liner

Overall I would have to give these false lashes from The Face Shop 2 thumbs up. Because for its affordable cost you get good quality lashes that don't look cheap. I can definitely re-use these again to about 3 times. The glue included was amazing! It's easy to apply and it stuck on pretty quick with no mess whatsoever! So I highly recomend The Face Shop false eye lashes :)

I'm definitely going back for more.... but maybe in 2 weeks time haha.
