The best part

Another awesome vacation in Vancouver meant re-stocking my goods. This is the best part, now I'm re-energized to get work done! :) Let's do it! :)

MAC Matte lipstick in Candy Yum-Yum

In my previous post, I described this lipstick as being infamous. Candy Yum Yum is a matte lipstick, a limited edition product which was part of the Quite Cute collection. Before the collection even came out, a lot of buzz was going round about this neon pink must-have lipstick. Because I'm a makeup junkie i just NEEDED it with the fact in mind that it will be out of stock most probably everywhere! So I searched high and low, did what I could to get my hands on one. Thus being infamous, the lipstick sold out right away and getting one was no regret ( Oh I regret not buying 2 actually!).

Candy Yum-Yum is a bright neon pink lipstick and when applied literally looks like it's being lit up, most especially on my dark asian skin tone (think a reflector jacket but without needing light to illuminate it) although don't get me wrong, it is beautiful when worn! :)

To show you how bright the lipstick is on me, here are pictures of me wearing Candy Yum-Yum under natural lighting.


See how the lipstick is just lighting up on my dark skin tone? The lipstick is just shouting "I'm here go look at my brightness!" haha and i love every bit of it. :)

Likes:
- A great unconventional addition to the kit
- It's Neon!
- The matte formula allows it to sit on your lips longer without bleeding
- In my opinion it suits all skin colors

Dislikes:
- I only bought one
- It's freakin limited edition


I really really love this lipstick, I think it complements everyone giving just the right amount of spunk to your look. I just wish it becomes part of the permanent collection or they decide to release this shade again. :)

MAC Morange Amplified Lipstick

I had been searching high and low for the perfect orange lipstick. MAC Morange was always an option and actually my peg swatch for the orange. Although, I was really trying hard to find a cheaper alternative with the same color vibrancy as Morange gave. But to no avail, I couldn;t find any, and I couldn't settle for any less. I went by and forgot about the orange lipstick until I went to my favorite MAC store to Back 2 Mac some items. When Maike assisted me, she told me of the little options for Back 2 Mac, I happily responded that it was no problem since I wasn't really that choosy. Going through the stash, I saw that there was 1 MAC morange up for grabs. I immediately told Maike that I would get Morange. And finally I have it. :)

From the swatch it doesn't look as bright, but once it is applied on the lips, it really is a perfect orange. :) I really can't wait to execute some looks I am cooking up using orange lipstick for my upcoming shoots! Yayy! Finally :)

FOTD mood :)

To liven up my mood, I decided to play around with make up for no reason. It has been a while since I did this so yes it did make me happy. :) I decided to play around with purples for this FOTD but ended up adding some blues and black. Here it is. :)

I found out that taking a picture in front of my lighted train case is god send since the light that comes from the train case is amazing. The pictures I took did not need any flash whatsoever. So I can say I now know where to take vanity pics of myself hehe. :)

MAC Goodies + FOTD

Isn't make-up fascinating? I have never been this much addicted in my life to any other thing but make up. My life doesn't feel complete if i had not made any make up purchase. It goes on endlessly, this love for make up. Sometimes you do it for the sake of having something new. You just want something new. Raise your hand girls if you feel this way too hehe.

My sister just arrived earlier today from Singapore and brought me these MAC goodies. These are the things I had asked her to buy due to an unforseen unfortunate event. This unfortunate event was me being OOS for the MAC Ombre blush in ripe peach in the 3 MAC stores ON THE VERY FIRST DAY! THE VERY FIRST DAY. In the Glorietta store I was a tad bit late when I arrived the last one had been purchased just minutes before. So the next day I went to Shangri-la at 11am (the day of their launch) to purchase my ripe peach but when i got there, LO AND BEHOLD, it was out of stock DUE TO RESERVATIONS. Now this really ticked me off, I have never wanted a blush as bad as this one. I felt so bad because I know reservations happen but I figured that they should at least keep a batch for walk-in customers not finish them all for reservations. The pring collection hadn't even started their launch and yet it was already OOS.

So out of frustration, I got my sister to buy me the ripe peach in Singapore. She called the store and said it wasn't to be launched till that friday and they DO NOT ACCEPT RESERVATIONS. I thought to myself thank god, how it should be. So my sister went that friday on the day of the launch and bought me my goodies. I also got the Springshine Ombre Blush and the MAC girlboy browset. Anyway still happy amidst my Ripe Peach Blush experience. hehe :)

New Toys

Since I have been on hiatus for the past couple of weeks due to make up school and some other gigs and priorities on the side. I have been lacking on posts about reviews, new discoveries and most especially hauls. So this post is dedicated to the new toys I have, some never even been swatched.

The bulk of these products are from the boyfriend who came home a couple of weeks ago and surprised me with my weakness - make up. While some were bought here through some re-sellers and at some retail stores available here in Manila.

Most of the items have yet to be swatched, although so far from the ones I've tried, the Kirkland Borghese Mineral Eye Shadow Palette and the Sephora Eraser pen is LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!! I can't wait to try out the rest of the products. Do let me know which one you would love to read about most since I'm also finding it hard to choose which to review first hehe. But for now, I will be taking the weekend off to Bohol hence I must say sorry still for the inconsistent blogging habbits recently.

Super Steal Deal + Megan's giveaway!

Hey girls, about two weeks ago, while I was at robinsons galleria, I came about a store that was selling really cheap bags. I went around found a BELKIN IPOD case for only PHP50 and I was sold! While I was at the counter in line, my eyes were drawn to a bag on the shelf. I started palpitating and immediately went towards the bag. And here it is:

I WAS IN LOVE! It was a makeup bag! Once I held it, I couldn't let go, there were only 2 pieces left! and the best par, it was only PHP249!!!!

Although the bag doesn't have any trays inside like other make up bags, I have decided to use this bag to store my non make up products like creams, moisturizers, spritzers, make up removers and other accessories needed for a shoot and for make up school. :) I just placed a bag organizer to make it look more organized. :)

MAC NOTD + Mini Mac Haul

Hi Girls, It's been crazy raining here in Manila almost 80% is under flood due to the heavy non stop rains! All is better in our village now however, there are tons more out there who need help. Anyway, now that I have electricity back, decided to show you guys my NOTD and Mini Mac Haul.

I'm not very much of a nail polish girl since It can't even last me one week (i'm lucky if it will last me 2 days lol). Although I just had to try on this color since it was sooo beautiful.

Moving on to my mini Mac Haul, a few weeks ago, i stumbled upon sites in Multiply that were selling authentic MAC items. The items immediately caught my eye and I just had to inquire and buy them. So about a week later, here they are:

I really like both eye shadows, the Idol Eyes has this beautiful silver with a hint of purple glimmer to it while Eye popping really is eye popping with it's green (not so seen on the photo). The Richmetal Highliter is cream based, I like this since this will be perfect as base when creating smokey looks. Another thing is it's not thick and doesn't feel creamy at all, it actually feels like powder once spread on the skin. For the Fluidline, I'll probably use this as base for most of the time too. It's shimmery perfect for looks that need bright eye shadow. Now that I have a white base hopefully the colors will pop ot even more. :) Love the Blush too since its like a bronzer on my skin already, it really gives me a more healthier natural glow. :)

So Bottomline, I super love my new items and my new nail color too! :)

MAC Haul

Waking up this morning was like waking up as a little girl on Christmas Day!

Mom had arrived from Vancouver this morning at 4:30 AM. At around 5:45AM, the usual time my alarm signals my wake up time, I heard voices outside. On a usual day I'd complain and head back to bed for another 20 minutes. But today was different. I instantly jumped out of bed as I knew Mom was already outside fresh from the airport.

Mom came with sooo many goodies, Bags, Sunnies and of course my MAC HAUL! :) I couldn't wait to get them the minute she had left fro Vancouver 2 weeks ago. And when she handed me my things I just couldn't stop smiling! :)


Initially I had ordered:

I was so happy she came with so much more!

My Aunt threw in a used MAC quad with 4 e/s, but sadly one of the e/s broke during transit. I was able to press the e/s and even though only 1/4 is left, it's still functional. Not only that there was a whole box filled with Nars Samples, Avon products, eye liners, Skincare and soo much more! It was crazy! Wayyy better than Christmas I tell you! :)

This is only some of the Make Up products that I had received this morning from my mom, I would blog about all of them but I honestly wouldn't know where to start!

So you see how much of a happy girl I am today! I got these packages before I left for work today and I had to bring my Pro Palette 15 and Photorealism Quad since If I didn't I would be thinking about them the whole day! Haha I am crazy. *bow*


So out of excitement, I did a look using the Photorealism Quad, Desert Rose Blush and Lip Stuff and other products from the loot from Vancity. :)
